SDL TMS 2011 SP5 | Service Pack 5 for SDL TMS 2011 Release Notes (July 2014)

We are pleased to announce the release of SDL Translation Management System 2011 Service Pack 5.

With this release, SDL has performed a number of enhancements such as alignment of languages with SDL Trados Studio 2014 SP1, as well as filters and content types updates. This ensures consistent user experience across the translation supply chain with the leading professional desktop translation tool on the market, SDL Trados Studio 2014 SP1.

In addition, translators using the Express version of SDL Trados Studio 2014 and above will now be able to open Studio Packages downloaded from SDL TMS.

Finally, a significant improvement has been implemented to enable users to perform maintenance tasks on large translation memories accessed remotely via the new version of the stand-alone SDL TMS TM Maintenance tool (available under Home > My downloads). These benefits are also available to SDL Trados Studio users connecting to their SDL TMS translation memories using the TM Provider plugin.

For more details in this respect and other changes and fixes implemented in this release, refer to the attached Release Notes: SDL TMS 2011 SP5 Release Notes.pdf

NOTE:

SDL TMS 2011 SP5 is the last release that supports Windows Server 2003. The next major release for SDL TMS will support Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
