Symptoms:
The integration with SDL MultiTerm 2015 does not provide the correct terminology hit for Spanish (Modern) and Spanish (International).
This issue is still present, even after installing the hotfix for TMS-6976.

Explanation:
The issue may happen when the termbase contains only one language pair.
In SDL MultiTerm, some languages are defined explicitly using custom cultures, which therefore do not map with SDL TMS.

Resolution:
SDL Trados Studio uses a mapping mechanism to allow for adequate language alignment with these custom cultures (the ones used to define certain languages in SDL MultiTerm). SDL TMS is now using the same mechanism to ensure this mapping is functional.

SDL-hosted customers should contact SDL Support to arrange for this hotfix to be deployed.

Symptoms:
When using SDL TMS 11.1 and MultiTerm 2015, the integration does not provide any terminology hit for Spanish (Modern) and Spanish (International).

Explanation:
The language recognition works in different manners in SDL TMS and SDL GroupShare (MultiTerm). If any of the application changes the language mapping, the integration then fails.

Resolution:
This fix provides an update to re-align languages with SDL GroupShare MultiTerm, using the Culture Info values.

Symptoms:
In rare cases, segments containing locked content tags and placeholder tags come back from the SDL BeGlobal Machine Translation step with both tags marked with the same reference ID.

Explanation:
Tags contained in a segment can be of different nature. For each tag, a reference ID is generated. The ways these IDs are generated are different, depending on the nature of the tag. In exceptional cases, the same ID was created for tags of different nature, thus leading to confusing the users.

Resolution:
This fix provides a mechanism to avoid tag ID collision.

Symptoms:
At the SDL BeGlobal Machine Translation step, segments containing locked elements tags within paragraph tags sometimes fail and are sent to Recovery.

Explanation:
When receiving XLIFF segments from SDL BeGlobal, for incorporating the strings contained in <ph> tags, SDL TMS expected placeholder tags but no locked content. Consequently, the locked content could not be converted into placeholders tags.

Explanation:
The issue was caused by the tag matching logic between the repetition segment and the first occurrence of the segment. The logic was based on the content of the tag.

Resolution:
This fix changes the logic to base the tag matching on the unique tag identifier of the tag.

TMS-11250: Tags are changed at preprocessing
Symptoms:
TM segments with tags in a different order from the tags in the source segments can potentially cause misplaced tags in the translation.

Explanation:
The issue was caused by the logic in the tag conversion process in preparation for the TM match to be applied.

Resolution:
The tag matching logic has been amended to correctly use the tag anchor value from the source segment when creating the translation for a TM match.

Symptoms:
Tasks containing segments with locked tags were coming back from machine translation with incorrect tags.

Explanation:
When sending segments containing locked tags to machine translation, TMS needs to build an internal reference for those tags.
This reference is then used when the segments come back from the machine translation provider in order to place the tags adequately in the translation.
The way the reference to locked tags was build did not support more than one tag using a given reference.
Therefore, when TMS received segments back from machine translation the tags were replaced incorrectly.

Resolution:
The fix was to change the way the internal reference to tags is generated for locked tags.
This ensures that when segments are returned from machine translation, the mapping of the tags is preserved in the target by using the adequate reference.

SDL-hosted customers should contact SDL Support to arrange for this hotfix to be deployed.

This hotfix is delivered for two different versions of SDL TMS, therefore, depending on the current installation, customers who host SDL TMS themselves should download one of the following installers:

If the TMS instance is running TMS 11.0.3, then download the installer for SDLTMS11.0.3 Hotfix for TMS-10906.exe from the following FTP site: ftp://sdlpatches:5dlpatch35@ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL TMS/11.0/CU3/Hotfix.

OR

If the TMS instance is running TMS 11.1, then download the installer for SDLTMS11.1 Hotfix for TMS-10906.exe from the following FTP site: ftp://sdlpatches:5dlpatch35@ftp-emea.sdlproducts.com/SDL TMS/11.1/Hotfix.

Notes:
This issue was detected in a previous version of SDL TMS.
Per SDL Engineering policy, the Engineering team provides hotfixes for the latest release of SDL TMS to encourage our customers to run the latest version of SDL TMS to benefit from the latest features and fixes.

SDL TMS 11.1 | SDL TMS 11.1 Release Announcement (August 2016)
