WS 10.4.5 | CRQ-5326 | Saving Search Filter and Delete Filter Icon on Project page don't work under HTTPS Proxy

Symptoms:
Provided that WorldServer is configured via proxy, the buttons for saving a Search filter and for deleting Search criteria are not visible within the Search panel of the Projects page.

Resolution:
You can fix this issue by deploying the update to WorldServer 10.4.5, available on FTP.

If you cannot deploy it, connect to the Customer Support Web Portal and log a case. You need an account to log a case. If you do not have an account, contact your company's SDL Support Account Administrator.

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5 | WSXI-6230 | The entire TM is exported when trying to export only a result set with duplicates

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5 | WSXI-6730 | No matches are found for non-text TM entries resulted from a TMX import

Create an empty TM and, in it, import a TMX file that contains non-textual segments (for example, /////). If you create a project whose assets include those segments and apply the TM, no matches are found for the non-textual segments and they are displayed in WorldServer as not translated or as having no status. However, you can find them in the TM if you search for them.(read more)

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5 | WS-9300 | Cannot upload ZIP archives containing files with no extension in WorldServer Explorer

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5 | WS-8910 | Offline work is not imported if the assets in the WSXZ translation kit contain invalid XML characters

Export a WSXZ translation kit that contains one or more assets with invalid XML characters, and then import the kit back into WorldServer. In WorldServer 10.4.4 and 10.4.5, the kit is not imported and the import page is blank. In WorldServer 11.0 and 11.0.1, the kit is not imported and the following message is displayed: "Failed (Character reference "&#x8" is an invalid XML character)".(read more)

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5, 11.1.0, 11.1.1| WS-7653| “Fetch out of Sequence error” when processing files in FTS

Symptoms:

If you use an Oracle Database and you receive a “ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence” filtering error, we have a solution for it.

Resolution:

For WorldServer 10.4.4 and 10.4.5, you can fix this issue by deploying the update to WorldServer 10.4.4 or 10.4.5, available on FTP.

For WorldServer 11.1.0 and 11.1.1, do the following:

Make sure that you have an appropriate version of the File Type Support (FTS) Server installed. For WorldServer 11.1.0, you need to have at least Cumulative Update 3 or later of FTS 11.1.0. For WorldServer 11.1.1, you can have any version of FTS 11.1.1.
Stop FTS.
Go to the directory where FTS was installed and open the “Sdl.WorldServer.FileTypeSupport.Server.HostProcess.exe.config” file with a text editor.
Search for “connectionString”.
In the line referring to Oracle databases, add the following text at the end of the connectionString attribute: ConnectionReset=true. The line should now have the following structure: <add name="SystemDb" connectionString="Host=host;SID=wsdb;Port=1521;User Id=user;Password=abc;ConnectionReset=true" providerName="DDTek.Oracle"/>
Start FTS.

If you cannot deploy this fix, contact the SDL Support Team:

Log on to your "My SDL" Account.
Log a support request via Support & Education Support.

Notes:

All systems running WorldServer 10.4.4 to 11.1.1 and using an Oracle database should have this hotfix applied.
The fix for this issue is also available in WS 11.2. Please make sure you add ConnectionReset=true for the existing connections.

WS 10.4.5 | WSXI-5482 | Some project groups created through the API are duplicated

An issue with duplicate project IDs in the WorldServer Software Development Kit (SDK) has been solved. At the root of this issue is the WSProjectGroup.createProject method, because it creates projects that do not inherit their project group's client and project type. Consequently, some projects in a project group may contain clients and project types, while others may not. This leads to project groups being duplicated on the WorldServer 11.x user interface.(read more)

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5 | WS-8099, WSXI-7424, WSXI-6258 | The File Type Support Server does not process assets with long names or paths

Symptoms:

If you create an asset in Explorer whose name or path has at least 260 characters, include the asset in a project, and then try to open it in Browser Workbench, the following message is displayed: "Error: Execution output. Cannot parse asset data. Details: com.idiominc.ws.filters.FilterParseException: The specified path, file name, or both are too long. [...]".

Resolution:

You can fix this issue by deploying the update to WorldServer 10.4.4 or 10.4.5, available on FTP.

If you cannot deploy it, contact the SDL Support Team:

Sign in to your "My SDL" account.
Log a support request via Support & Education Support.

Notes:

All systems running WorldServer 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 and experiencing this issue should have the hotfix applied.

WS 10.4.5 | WS-9371 | Runtime exception after making changes to the mixed authentication type

As an administrator, on the Authentication page, select Mixed Authentication and make sure that all the available authentication types are in the column on the left. Save your changes and log out. When another user tries to log in to WorldServer after you have saved the changes, the WorldServer Internal Error page is displayed with "com.idiominc.ws.WSRuntimeException" in the details.(read more)

Symptoms:

The latest versions of data drivers fix two issues for Oracle 12c. They are described at the following locations:

Please back up your existing data drivers (wsoracledd-5-1-3.jar and wssqlserverdd-5-1-2.jar) and copy the latest data drivers (available on FTP) to the application. The latest versions are:

Microsoft SQL Server JDBC 5.1.4
Oracle JDBC 5.1.4

Resolution:

You can fix this issue by deploying the update to WorldServer 10.4.5, available on FTP.

Log on to your "My SDL" Account.

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5 | WSXI-7158| IDML and MIF Studio File Type filters result in bad segmentation, specifically missing placeholders on conditional text in source segments

Symptoms:

The IDML and MIF Studio File Type filters are causing bad segmentation in source segments on conditional text. The segmentation results in a break in placeholders in the source segments. If you open the asset in Browser Workbench and you try to save the asset before applying the TM, the following message is displayed: “com.idiominc.wssdk.asset.WSAssetSegmentationException: Attempting to insert an item that is already part of a collection.” If you apply the TM and save the asset, the message is as follows: “com.idiominc.ws.WSRuntimeException”.

This happens even if there is no translation memory configured for that asset.

Resolution:

You can fix this issue by deploying the update to WorldServer 10.4.4 & 10.4.5, available on FTP.

WS 10.4.4, 10.4.5 | WSXI-6570| Cannot add more than 90 locale pairs to a client’s TM mapping

Symptoms:

Go to Management > User Setup > Clients, click an existing client or add a new one, and then click TDs & TMs. Under Translation Memory, select either Create blank default TM and use it for all locales or Choose default TM for all locales, and then select Advanced options. Click set another to add items one by one. Add as many languages as possible. Adding more than 90 languages to TM mappings in a client fails with the error "There was a problem retrieving data:400: Bad Request".

Resolution:

You can fix this issue by deploying the update to WorldServer 10.4.4 & 10.4.5, available on FTP.
