RWS ID and RWS Language Cloud account

I updated from Trados Studio freelance plus 2017 to trados studio freelance plus 2021. It's working fine except that i cannot add "cloud-base resources" to my TMs. When I try to sign in to cloud, I get the message: Your RWS ID is not linked to any RWS Language cloud account. And if I try the option Sign Up (in RWS ID link) I get the message "the user already exists". And i go into a loop of messages that gets me nowhere... I am the only user and owner of the license (all licenses, Trados 2017, Trados 2021, and any older version I ever had), and if i enter my SDL account (via, my user and password work fine. But not with any RWS page. Please help
