I have read a description of the purpose of cid attributes here and wonder if they still serve a purpose when Collab Review is no longer in use?
Is this attribute used by Collective Spaces?

Hi Ann,
The @cid attribute was the anchor identifier to track comments in the component called Collaborative Review (Reach). Starting from Tridion Docs 15.0.0 we cleaned the last remaining bits regarding Collaborative Review like IWrite plugins and more. Do note that there is no legacy update to strip @cid attributes of existing - potentially released - content. Starting version 15.0.0 we just no longer generate the @cid attribute.
The @cid attribute is not used by Collective Spaces - Draft Space and Review Space.
