One of my clients currently exports xliff files from the Umbraco CMS.
Apparently, there are sometime issues when importing the translated files back into Umbraco.
That's why the asked whether there's an API that can connect Umbraco and Trados for a smoother process.
I haven't found any info, apart from this connector:https://www.trados.com/integrations/umbraco/ but I'd like to knwo how this would work exactly
The connector link you have found describes a server to server connector between the Umbraco CMS and the cloud based Trados Team / Enterprise solutions. There is no connector available for the desktop based Trados Studio.
I would try to analyze the problems with the import of the translated files into Umbraco. Trados Studio will just insert translations into the XLIFF files, but I don't think that it will destroy its internal structure.
