Idea Delivered

Ability to set a deadline for each stage in advance.

The current feature automatically sets the deadline for the translation and review stages when you set the project deadline. And the deadline for each stage cannot be changed until the file reaches that stage.
This is a factor that hinders workflow automation, which is a benefit of TLT.

In many cases, the automatically set deadlines are not accurate, and the project manager will want to set deadlines for each stage. Therefore, I think it would be a good idea to add the ability to set a deadline for each stage when creating a project. Furthermore, it would be even better if you could set the duration of each stage in the project template.

Katsu

  • Hi Luis-san,

The function for setting Due dates has been made much clearer.
Two ideas for new functions would be:
    - The project template can be preset with Due Dates for each stage.
    - Due Date can be preset when creating a project.
*There is an option to set Due Date after the project is created, but this option was not available in the wizard during creation.

I would be happy to point out any lack of understanding on my part.

    Kind Regards,
    Katsu

  • Hi -san,

I believe we have this already as well, see below. Individual deadlines per task, can be set in the stages view indivdually if they are to differ from the rest of the language.
Default time period is a great idea, we have plans on the roadmap to offer more project scheduling functionality.

Could you review this idea and see which request is left? Or if not, we close this one and create one specifically for the default time periods to be specified if that is the only item left? Keen to understand if what we have helps already.

    Thanks,
    Luis

  • Yes, I agree. It would be very useful to have control over this feature.

  • Hi - san,

I did not know that it could be configured on the Workflow page. Thank you very much.

In this case, it is better to be able to set deadlines for each file on the stage as well, since it is not possible to set individual deadlines when multiple files are assigned to multiple translators.

Also, it would be more convenient if a default time period could be set in the workflow template.

    Kind Regards,
    Katsu

  • Hi -san,

You can change the deadline for future tasks already from Workflow. Maybe not too obvious but you can click the dates and change it:

Could you check if that works then we can close the idea if it solves the request.

    Thanks,
    Luis
