Ability to store languages selected and transfer them to new upgrades/service releases

As it stands, you're currently required to reselect five languages every time you upgrade/apply a service pack to Trados Studio.

Surely it must be possible for this set of languages to be stored in a file somewhere and carried over when a new upgrade/service pack is applied? I've never been able to understand why it's not just part of the user profile.

Agreed, I'm sure some people need five (or even more) but it should be "up to five" (or whatever) but not obligatory to pick five. Especially since TM management with just one language pair can be enough of a headach.

Jane is right. Our languages of proficiency obviously do not change just because we install a software update.

Yes, that too Michael! The whole thing is just very clunky and infuriating! I'm sure it made sense from a development perspective at some point, but it's really not at all user friendly.

I wholeheartedly endorse this, I have never understood why 5 languages have to be chosen anyway? I can see the reason for a limit, but why not allow the user to proceed with 2, 3 or 4 languages?
