Display Error on ManTra if the job size is beyond TMS can process

When Mantra hands over jobrequest to TMS and TMS confirms it received it, ManTra always displays a successful message regardless of the job size.

TMS cannot process large jobs which exceed certain size if received from ManTra, and it results in an empty job without notification to anyone. (SRQ-10207).

Meanwhile the job creator on ManTra believes that the job creation was successful and it is being translated.

Is it possible to throw an error on ManTra indicating the job size limitation? This way, the job creator can at least re-upload the job in smaller batches.

Ideally TMS process large jobs even receiving from ManTra. My test proved that the same job size process fine if created directly on TMS, but fails only if created from ManTra.

Thanks,

Mika

  • Hi Mika,

The scenario you describe should not result in a job creation failure in TMS. During project creation, we replace the original files uploaded by a user in ManTra with temporary (small) placeholder files. The original files are only retrieved by TMS after job creation has completed successfully.

Rather than handle this via Community Ideas, can you please contact me directly and point me in the direction of a support ticket/SRQ/CRQ?

    Cheers,
