The idea is delivered in Sites 10.1 and within Trados Enterprise inegration. Translation job metadata is sent as reference materials to Trados. Additionally you can now insert attachments (such as screenshots, pdfs, docs) into metadata multimedia link fields. The attached files are sent to Trados as reference materials as well.
Indeed, we do plan to look at implementing this idea in one of future releases.
