With the release of SDL Tridion Sites 9.5 we have updated our Rich Text editor, which brings Paste and Paste special functionality back into the product. The use case is for a "clean" paste from a word processor such as Word.
A paste plain text option and default "clean paste" rich text features are in progress for SDL Tridion Sites 9.5's new UI, to be delivered next to the existing one.
I updated this request to include the most common requests we get in terms of pasting and the rich text format area.
We plan to revisit the rich text format area in a future version of the product. Better paste options are something we definitely want since we lost the capability a few versions ago.

We plan to revisit the rich text format area in the next few program increments. If plans change or this gets delayed, we will set this to Not Planned. Better paste options are something we definitely want since we lost the capability a few versions ago.
