    Are there some Publications where you wouldn't want to include child Publications during Publishing?

    "Hooks" for such a setting are indeed Publication properties or possibly Business Process Types.

    And for a given Publication, might there be content that shouldn't be Published to all children Publications? I'm wondering how much granularity is desired on that Child Publishing option and if it's related to the user's preferences as well.
