Please elaborate on the use case for Dynamic Component Presentations with a specific file extension.
Originally we defined several Output Formats with associated file extensions for DCPs, but nowadays this is considered legacy. In a modern publishing setup, we expect DCPs to be published to the CD Content Store and retrieved dynamically by the Web Application. A file extension for DCPs is not really relevant in such case.
Please elaborate on the use case for "Dynamic Component Templates with JSON file extension".
Originally, we defined several "Output Formats" with associated file extensions for the DCPs when published to file system. However, this is now considered legacy; in modern publishing models we expect DCPs to be published to the CD Content Store and retrieved dynamically by the Web App. In that case a file extension is not really relevant.
