We have delivered a number of important new updates for Customer Portal and would like to share with you a summary of the features that are now available.
Copilot for Customer Portal
We have recently introduced Trados Copilot in Customer Portal. Trados Copilot is your AI-powered assistant to help you be more productive in your everyday tasks. For this initial release in Customer Portal, Trados Copilot can offer Smart Help. To launch Trados Copilot, click the icon in the top bar:
You can then use natural language queries to find answers to your questions on how to use the application. Traditional documentation searches require you to enter the right keywords to use. With Smart Help, just ask your question as you would normally. For example, you could ask “What is the maximum number of source files in a project?” or “How do I approve my project?”. Trados Copilot will respond with an answer and a link to the relevant pages in the documentation:
From here you can click through to the documentation or click on “Show citations” to get more information. You can read more about Trados Copilot and Smart Help in the following blog post on the Trados website:

Custom Dashboard Content & Help Links
We have introduced the ability to display custom content in the Dashboard. This allows account administrators to define custom information and specify in which interface(s) the content should be displayed, including Customer Portal.
This feature also supports rich text, making it possible to include images or links to external sources.
Below is an example where custom content has been configured to show how this is presented in Customer Portal:
Additionally, we have introduced the ability for account administrators to define custom links in the Help menu, which can also be displayed from Customer Portal. This is useful if you have your own documentation or first level ticketing system you want to direct your users to.
Customizable Dashboard
Customer Portal users now have the option to customize the content and layout of the Dashboard page according to their own preference. Dashboard tiles can be added, deleted, resized or moved to a different location within the page, and the custom layout is automatically saved for when the user next logs into the Customer Portal. Users can also easily revert to the default layout if they prefer.
Customizable Tables for Projects and Files for Review
Users are now able to configure which columns are displayed from tables in Customer Portal, according to their own preference. For this initial release, users can select from the standard fields available from each table, but in an upcoming release, users will also be able to include additional fields specific to their own Trados implementation.
User Avatars
User avatars and profile pictures are now displayed throughout Customer Portal:
Additional Information in Files for Review
Additional information fields, specific to a customers own Trados implementation, are now displayed in the side pane from the Files for Review page in the Customer Portal, thereby providing Custom Reviewers with visibility of these fields where relevant.
Additional Updates
- TM Search results now adopt a color scheme consistent with the rest of the Trados portfolio, whereby 100% matches are displayed in green rather than gold.
- In cases where multiple deliveries are needed, the iteration number is now displayed so they are clearly visible to users.
- When completing a task, we now present Customer Reviewers with additional details about the next available task, including information about the project, language, and file. Additionally, when presented with this additional information, reviewers have the option to automatically open the next task.
- Various bug fixes and UX enhancements.
We hope this post was informative and we look forward to continuing to provide you with updates to the product.
