We have just released the latest update to RWS Language Cloud’s translation management capabilities and we would like to share the new functionality that has been delivered.

New features and updates are automatically added to your account so just login to RWS Language Cloud and they will be available immediately.

Specify target languages per file during project creation

We have now introduced an Advanced view for files during project creation, which enables the ability to specify target languages per file.
This is useful for cases where you have certain files that should not be localized into all target languages specified in the project.
The Advanced interface also enables you to update languages, either adding a new language, replacing selected languages or removing them.

Conditional Custom picklist fields

We have introduced the ability to specify conditional picklist fields, this is helpful if you want to offer a subset of options based on previous values, for example specifying USA as a country, California as the state and Los Angeles as the city.
In order to specify these values, simply use a colon ( : ) in between the values. This will be understood by the Customer Portal and the TMS and display accordingly.

New Automated Connector Solution (Hotfolder) features

• Introduced support for content stored in AWS S3 buckets
• Introduced support for Git connectivity to GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab and AzureDevOps
• Increased performance when using FTP repositories
• The solution was extended to add support for reference materials

API enhancements

• Added endpoints for custom field definitions
• Added support for custom fields on projects and project templates
• The translationEngine, fileProcessingConfiguration, workflow fields are now required on the /projects endpoint
• The isSkipped field is now marked as required on the /workflow/updateworkflow endpoint
• Added new assignee type projectCreator when retrieving workflows
• Added ability to download quotes as PDF or XML
• Improved contract documentation on TQA endpoints
  Added support for the restrict file downloads functionality
• When creating/updating projects using a project template which has mandatory custom fields, you must supply those custom fields
• Renamed customProperty to customFields on error responses
• We will remove deprecated fields from the ErrorResponse model in an upcoming release. Please ensure you are not using fields marked as deprecated!
• Various bugfixes

• The Online Editor In-Context Preview can now be opened in a new window, enabling multi-monitor scenarios better
• The Online Editor now supports showing and adding Emojis for supported file-types
• You can now complete multiple projects at once
• You can now copy Vendor Order Templates to use as a basis for new ones
• Workflows are now re-validated if the originating Custom Workflow Template has been updated
• Changed offline packages to only include termbases that match the project languages to ensure faster performance in Trados Studio
• Resolved an issue with files not being downloadable/uploadable in certain scenarios
• Resolved an issue where Translators could not download reference files
• Various bug fixes and UX enhancements
