Happy New Year! We wish all our users a successful 2023.
We have just released the latest update to Trados Enterprise translation management capabilities, and we would like to share the new functionality that has been delivered.
New features and updates are automatically added to your account so just login to Trados Enterprise and they will be available immediately.
Project Groups
With this release, we are introducing a Project Groups feature, which allows users to add multiple projects to a group and perform bulk actions against all of them. This can be helpful, for example, if you have multiple projects that belong to the same larger program, or if an integration creates lots of small projects that are cumbersome and inefficient to manage individually.
You will find a new tab in the Projects View where you can create and manage Project Groups.
You can add Projects from the Project Group details -> Projects view or from the main Projects list.
We have also added a new Group column and filter in the Projects and Inbox views.
When you open the Project Group details you will have a Dashboard showing progress and quote summaries across the Projects in the group. Additional views are Projects and Settings.
From the Dashboard you can now perform multiple bulk actions across projects, such as Reassigning, Rescheduling, and Completing tasks.
Reassigning allows users to reassign tasks across multiple projects, either appending the user/group, replacing or removing assignees in bulk. You can replace assignees in currently active tasks, future tasks, or both.
Rescheduling allows you to set new due dates for tasks across multiple projects, for scenarios where there is a notable change in delivery timelines that impacts on multiple projects.
Project Group details are also visible from the Customer Portal, but in read-only by default. If Project Managers and Customers agree, however, it is possible to extend the permissions so that Customer Requestors can create and edit Project Groups directly from the Customer Portal.
For customers working with the Custom Reporting module, we have extended the Projects table to include information about Project Groups; specifically, the Project Group ID and Project Group Name. Please be aware, however, the Project Group fields are only available for newly created workspaces. Any existing workspaces that link to the Projects table must be recreated for the Project Group ID and Project Group Name fields to be available.
Note: Only Projects with the same currency can be added to a Project Group.
Note: By default, a maximum of 100 Projects can be added to a single Project Group and Projects can only belong to one Project Group at any point in time. Projects can be moved between Project Groups, however.
Allow Vendors to manage their users and assignments
We have introduced the ability for Vendors to manage their own users and assignments.
This is enabled by default when creating new Vendors but can be disabled, if required. The setting is disabled for existing Vendors but can be enabled manually if you want to allow this capability for your Vendors.
For Vendors where this is enabled, they can now create, delete and manage the users for their Vendor only.
Additionally, they can change the default assignments in Vendor Order Templates to be in control of which users are assigned to certain tasks.
Two new permissions have been introduced, Manage Users and Manager Vendor Order Template Assignments. These are granted to the default Vendor Project Manager group. This enables you to grant permission only to certain Vendor Project Managers, if necessary, by creating a custom Vendor group.
Customer location in Inbox
We have now introduced the Customer details to the Inbox, as both an additional column and filter option. This allows you to filter tasks by Customer, providing greater control and flexibility for which tasks are displayed from your Inbox at any point in time.
Note: The Customer field is only populated for tasks created after this latest release. For tasks created prior to this release, the Customer field will be empty.
Disable E-Mail notifications
Users can choose to disable email notifications for a specific tenant, to reduce the number of emails received. This can be configured by going to the Avatar in the top right of page and selecting User Profile.
