Trados Studio 2022 - Problem in integration with XTRF

Hello,

we are experiencing a problem in the integration of Trados2022 with XTRF. We installed Trados2022 on a server Windows2019 Server and the application "XTRF Agent for SDL Trados Studio.7.4.1.2" but when we try to open the Settings sections of this program in order to set the location of the project, TMs, templates folders, we get an unhandled exception like this:

Error message dialog from Microsoft .NET Framework stating 'Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. An exception occurred in the destination of an invocation.' with Details, Continue, and Quit buttons.

No way to continue!

In your opinion, could this be a problem related to Trados2022? The issue suggests that the Trados library does not respond correctly.

I must say that the installation of Trados2022 on this server did not give any problems and the program works perfectly.

Any help is welcome, thank you!

Best regards,

Massi.

It's very hard to tell and we have no knowledge of the plugin you refer to, so you should really ask the developer to raise this in the Dev community with the appropriate code and logs to help troubleshoot.  However, based on what you have shown here, and since the error includes ProjectAutomation references, this strongly suggests that the error may be triggered by using a licence that is inappropriate for project automation.

But it could also be due to the plugin being incompatible with your version of Trados Studio 2022, or dependencies on outdated or missing .NET components, or simply an error caused by the plugin's logic triggering an exception during initialisation.

Best to involve a developer from XTRF.
