Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Professional and SDK templates

Hello,

the current SDK installer sets new templates for Visual Studio 2015. Do you already have a new version for Visual Studio 2017? or is there any possibility to set the template manually?

Kind regards

  • Hi Sebastien,

You can set it manually by going to and setting the path:

Tools > Options > Projects and Solutions > General > User project templates location

The path for the template is:
    Studio 2017:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\SDL\SDLAppStore2017\5.0\ProjectTemplates

    Studio 2015:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\SDL\SDLOpenExchange2015\4.2\ProjectTemplates

    * "Visual Studio 14.0" is Visual Studio 2015.
    * You might be able to copy the templates to the default path, but I have never tried it.
