Error: Unable to load DLL 'SQLite.Interop.dll'

I am working on this tutorial here: http://producthelp.sdl.com/SDK/TranslationMemoryApi/3.0/html/65d6719b-b85e-46a4-bec0-86606e8e0676.htm

I have made some progress but now I am getting this error:

Sdl.LanguagePlatform.Core.LanguagePlatformException: Unable to load DLL 'SQLite.Interop.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
at Sdl.LanguagePlatform.TranslationMemoryApi.AbstractLocalTranslationMemory.get_Setup()
at Sdl.LanguagePlatform.TranslationMemoryApi.FileBasedTranslationMemoryLanguageDirection.get_SourceLanguage()

I see the file 'SQLite.Interop.dll' in various places on my machine and tried adding it as a reference, but Visual Studio won't all that.

Hi Gary

Have you tried switching the platform target to x86 (right now it is set to "Any CPU")?

Hi Jesse,

I tried your suggestion and alone it didn't work (same error). But I got the idea to just copy the 'SQLite.Interop.dll' file to the 'bin/x86/Debug' directory and that seems to work (no more error).

I should have mentioned this is a standalone program and not a plug-in.

Another thought: If one of the references in my project (e.g. "Sdl.LanguagePlatform.TranslationMemory") is dependent on an external DLL ('SQLite.Interop.dll'), shouldn't the external DLL have been loaded automatically into 'bin/x86/Debug'?

It doesn't make sense to me that I would have to copy it manually.

Hi Gary,

I know this answer is a little late, but I was having the same problems with a standalone application until I set the Output folder to the SDL Studio installation folder (e.g. for Studio 2015: C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio5). I found this important note in the user documentation.
