I often find it hard to address the author of a post with @... Sometimes, as in the post below, the displayed user name seems to contain no cue concerning the real user name:
At other times I am offered a list of user names like "Joe Doe_1234" "Joe_Doe" "Joe_Doe_2348" and so on, but I have no clue which Joe DOe is the author of the post. It would be helpful if mousing over the displayed user name would reveal this.
Or maybe there is a way, but I did not find it yet...

Hi Daniel,
Good question, sometimes it can be difficult indeed, to find someone you want to tag or reply to using the @ sign.
For me what works, if you are in a situation like described above, is either try by last name (if you know) or go to the person's profile page.
On the profile page, take a look at the url, then try to tag a person using the last part of the url.
As an example this profile: https://community.sdl.com/members/sat123456
If you want to tag this person try @ sat12345
