Yes, Tridion World is going to be closed. ETA end of the year 2015-ish. We already set the content to Read Only but did not have a solution for the downloads yet as this requires some development work. We've had some other prios to deliver but it is on our radar for end of this year. Bart Koopman (former member) is running that show together with Alvin Reyes
