I am new to the platform and would appreciate some guidance on how to get started effectively.

Specifically, I would like to understand:

1. How to choose the right product to work on, considering my interests and the available opportunities within RWS.

2. How to navigate and interpret my dashboard effectively — I am looking for a clear overview or any resources that can help me better understand the tools, options, and features available to me.

Any documentation, video tutorials, or personal tips from experienced users would be greatly appreciated. I want to ensure I'm using the platform to its full potential and aligning my work with the best practices.

    Welcome to RWS Community. We are more than delighted to help, however, before replying to your question, I believe we need to clarify some aspects.

    1. What exactly do you mean by "how to choose the right product to work on"? RWS Community supports users of RWS’s broader services and tools (like Trados Studio or translation solutions), providing resources and engagement for our clients and partners. Basically, we provide support for those who choose to work with our products, so you can understand why I am a bit confused when you ask us "how to choose the right product to work on".

    Are you are referring to other RWS services/platforms that offer opportunities through different translation projects or otherwise, such as, for example TrainAI Community, which is a separate RWS services where freelancers worldwide contribute to AI projects on a per-task basis?

    It would help if you could clarify this aspect for us, so we can better help you out.

    2. Depending on your situation highlighted in the first point, the resources you have at your disposal are the welcome email that we send to every new user that registers with RWS Community. In there you have the link to a video that shows you how to navigate the community with ease and how it works. 

    This video basically encompasses all the other resources we have at the disposal of our users, such as "How to start with RWS Community" help page that explains to you all you need to know in terms of navigating your way around the community.

  • Thanks for your response and clarification. You mentioned TrainAI  as being a separate community from RWS services. Now could you please explain to me in detail the difference between TrainAI community and RWS services?

    Also I need a basic background knowledge how to apply for a job opportunities within either TrainAI or RWS services. Outlining the processes in accessing tools and learning guides for doing tasks assigned to me and getting paid
