A guide on how to update language knowledge test on your profile.

As a new member of the RWS community, I initially encountered some difficulty updating my language knowledge test on my profile, which was required for my onboarding on the Diamond Project. After some exploration, I eventually figured out the process. Since I noticed other members had similar issues, I’m sharing the steps I followed to make it easier for anyone facing the same challenge.

Steps to Update and Access the Language Knowledge Test:

  1. Go to your Profile:

    • On your Workzone dashboard, click on your Profile icon (at the top-left corner).

  2. Access Data Services Update:

    • From the drop-down menu, select the option for “Update Data Services.”

    • This will redirect you to a page showing your native language.

  3. Add Additional Languages:

    • Just beneath your native language, there is a section for Additional Languages.

    • Select the languages you would like to add for testing.

  4. Submit Your Update:

    • After selecting your additional languages, click Submit to save your update.

  5. Complete the Language Tests:

    • Once submitted, return to your Home page.

    • Under the “Test Your Skills” section, you will now see the tests available for the languages you selected.

  6. View Results:

    • Take the tests.

    • Immediately after submission, your score will be displayed.

    • You will also receive an email confirmation outlining your assessment results and category.

With these steps, you’ll be able to update your profile and complete the required tests smoothly, ensuring you’re ready for project onboarding without confusion.

  • Hi,

Appreciate your thread. I'm sure that every other person who is looking for an information like this will be grateful for it.

However, I need to clarify a certain aspect.

We’re RWS Community, not TrainAI Community, which are two different platforms of the same brand, RWS.

But there's a clear distinction between us, as following:

    • The RWS Community supports users of RWS’s broader services and tools (like Trados Studio or translation solutions), providing resources and engagement for our clients and partners (such as this platform).

    • The TrainAI Community is a separate group focused on AI training data tasks – like annotation or transcription – where freelancers worldwide contribute to AI projects on a per-task basis (a different platform).

So, the language tests you mentioned are related to tasks from TrainAI Community, not RWS Community.

In case you need any type of help regarding any TrainAI Community related natter, I recommend reading this FAQ that tells you the best way to reach out to them.

Additionally, you can try getting support from here as well.

    All the best,
    Georgiana
