Training for AI?

From Riley Lavetti:

This presentation is very insightful! Thank you Mr. Fafoglia! As a student in the Master of Arts in Translation, Communication, Language Technology, I feel that this is an essential component of every job now, especially in the translation and communication branch. But we are not adequately trained in this aspect during our studies, at least not in terms of the practical application. How can someone who hasn't received specific training in informatic and AI technology become involved?

Consider Formal Education: If you find that you're deeply passionate about informatics and AI and want to pursue it as a career, consider pursuing formal education, such as a degree or certification program. Many universities offer online programs and courses in AI, machine learning, and informatics.
Remember that learning AI is a journey, and it's okay to start small and progress gradually. The most important thing is to stay curious, persistent, and open to learning new things.

Self-Study: Begin by exploring online resources, tutorials, and courses. Platforms like Coursera, edX, and Udacity offer courses on various aspects of informatics and AI, from introductory to advanced levels. Look for courses in programming languages like Python, which is widely used in AI development.

Online Communities and Forums: Join online communities and forums dedicated to informatics and AI, such as Reddit's r/MachineLearning or Stack Overflow. Engage with other learners, ask questions, and share your knowledge and experiences. These communities can provide valuable support and guidance.

Books and Literature: Invest in some introductory books on informatics, machine learning, and AI. Start with beginner-friendly books and gradually progress to more advanced texts as your understanding grows. Some recommended books include ""Python Machine Learning"" by Sebastian Raschka and ""Artificial Intelligence: A Guide for Thinking Humans"" by Melanie Mitchell.

Hands-on Projects: Practice is crucial in mastering informatics and AI. Start by working on small projects to apply what you've learned. You can find project ideas online or create your own based on your interests. You can also check out: https://hubs.ly/Q02hFFph0 to view available projects with TrainAI,

Online Courses and Specializations: Consider enrolling in online courses or specializations specifically focused on AI and informatics. These programs often offer structured learning paths, hands-on projects, and mentorship opportunities.

Networking: Attend meetups, workshops, and conferences related to informatics and AI. Networking with professionals in the field can provide valuable insights, mentorship, and potential collaboration opportunities.

Keep Learning and Experimenting: The field of informatics and AI is rapidly evolving, so it's essential to stay updated with the latest developments. Continuously learn new concepts, techniques, and tools, and don't be afraid to experiment and explore new"
