Everyone has to start somewhere! Often translators gain this experience prior to crossing paths with RWS and in this case we will consider that experience as potentially valuable for more experienced positions. So if we onboard new inhouse translators we consider them not only for more experienced positions but also for translating more complex, or regulated content. We may also consider the experience suitable for complex review tasks as opposed to translation. But if our paths cross before these years of experience are accumulated then we may still be able to offer opportunities. This could come via internships, but it could also come through being able to translate with rare language pairs... Icelandic for example. In these cases you would start with translation only tasks and would have the opportunity to start accumulating the years of experience needed to take on more complex or review tasks.
