Clear Global: How do you decide which projects to support?

 asked:

Is it possible for your organisation to make choices about projects to support without ending up making political decisions. Surely that is a bit illusionary?

I have transcribed the response from the presentation by Jennifer Cajina-Grigsby:

"Yes... that is a good question.  We are 501(c)(3), so we are a non-profit charitable organisation and cannot be politically inclined one way or the other.  So we try to be very careful and very general in the way that we help organisations and the that we help create and translate any projects.  You could say that it's evolutionary, but in practice when you need to provide information about COVID-19, or information about Ebola, is that political or is it a health crisis that needs to be addressed?  Anything could be seen as political if you stretch it to a certain extent I think."
