Trados 2021 does not open ever since I installed the glossary converter app

Ever since I  installed the glossary converter app, I've had issues with opening Trados (2021) on my desktop. I click on the Trados icon on my desktop, it opens for a few seconds but then it quickly shuts down. I've tried to open it many times, double-clicking it, and this happens alongside the Window 8 error sound. I've never had any issues with opening Trados until now. What should I do to fix this? 

  • It may be that there is a conflict of versions here.  Please make sure you have the latest version of MultiTerm AND Studio installed.  The current versions are:

    Trados Studio 2021 - 16.2.8.9097
    MultiTerm 2021 - 16.2.1.1044

    Alternatively run a repair installation of Studio through the windows control panel and this may resolve whatever has caused this issue.  It is unusual for the Glossary Converter to have this effect as they are not connected at all other than the Glossary Converter uses some MultiTerm components that are shared between Studio and MultiTerm.

    What version of the Glossary Converter are you using?
