  • Hello,

I understand you're experiencing an issue with Trados Studio 2022, where you're receiving an error message stating "The input isn't a valid Base64 string, because it includes other than a Base64 character". I'm here to help you resolve this issue.

Based on the context provided, there are a few workarounds you can try:

Workaround 1: For single user licenses

    1. Close the Product Activate dialog.

    2. Rename the file Studio.lic found in the folder: C:\Program Data\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17\Data

    3. Start Trados Studio and activate the license as usual.

Workaround 2: For borrowed network licenses set registry values to not use borrowed license

    1. Close Trados Studio.

    2. Click the Windows Start menu and type regedit.

    3. Double click on regedit.exe

    4. For Trados Studio 2022, set the following registry values:

      - Set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Trados\Studio17License\Use Borrowed License to False.

      - Set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Trados\Studio17License\Use License Server to True.

Please note, if you can't find the Studio17License folder under the above path, please check under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Trados.

If these workarounds do not resolve your issue, you may need to contact the RWS Support Team for further assistance.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask.
