GroupShare Web API- Enquiry on direct methods to evoke File analysis, Pre-translation , target document generation.

Hello there

Sub : GroupShare Web API- Enquiry on direct methods to evoke File analysis, Pre-translation , target document generation.

Ref.I (SDL Trados Studio 2015 API) : http://producthelp.sdl.com/SDK/ProjectAutomationApi/4.0/html/b986e77a-82d2-4049-8610-5159c55fddd3.htm

Ref.II (SDL GroupShare API) : https://github.com/sdl/groupsharekit.net

Ref to the subject, please be informed that ours is a company which is entirely new to the SDL products. We are in the process of developing a web application, which manages the customer requests for translation along with the service providers in the form of translators or LSPs .We intend to integrate SDL products also into our system- for making use of SDL`s automated management tasks such as

a) file analysis (expect reports on match cases),

b) pre-translation (expects translation of the source files),

c) generation of target documents (expects target files on match cases),etc.

Our goal is to have GroupShare Server ( with the required TMs) which will respond to our application`s request for source file analysis, and create pre-translated target files based on the match-profiles created to handle analyzed file-reports from SDL. We also intend to make use of words\Character count generated in these reports.

Please note that our software development team successfully managed to create an application (test) with the help of given reference (Ref.I )- to evoke similar functionalities as stated above. Note that it was achieved through SDL Trados Studio and tested successfully on a local machine. Now with ref. to the subject , it`d be helpful if some experts can give some guidelines as the current situation has become a roadblock for our developers.

a) Like to know whether our goal is achievable through only SDL Groupshare in a server ( without SDL Trados studio) ?

b) If yes, is there any tutorials or guidelines available to make use of some APIs ?

c) If no, what would be the best methods you would recommend to implement to achieve our goal ?

I`d highly appreciate, if we -for the problems(scenarios) stated above- can reach into a solution which can be used by multiple clients parallelly.

Thanks & br

Thomas
