Translation Memory operations: is there any way to implement?

Hello! 
 I'm trying to write a plug-in to perform some operations on translation memories (the simplest one would be to go to a given TM segment in Translation Memories view in order to edit it, since Studio presumably lacks this functionality). However, it seems to be no 'controller' like ones for Projects and Files views, and no way to, for example, get a TM currently selected in Translation Memories view and do something with it programmatically. 
 Is there any chance such a controller will be available someday? 
 And if there actually is some way to do what I'm intending to, I'd be insanely happy.

This is a good question. The current translation memory view has many issues, so SDL might be planning on redesigning the entire thing (which is why they don't provide an API). 
However, I think you can just ignore the translation memories view and create your own custom one?

You would need to implement your own search box and controls for adding/removing TMs, viewing (a grid), etc. 
But a simple custom view for just updating shouldn't be too difficult to make. 
 
Then you can use the Translation Memory API to do your updating:
