Creating T2009 project packages using the project automation API 2.1

Question

Hello everybody, 
 quick question, just to be on the save side: is it possible to create T2009 compliant project packages using the T2011 project automation API? I have found nothing in the SDK about this, nor do I find any methods that would allow that. So I assume - it is not possible. Correct?

It's not possible and it will likely not ever be supported. That is what I got from SDL when I asked the question.
