Hi all,
In a logging plugin we are developing I would like to be able to programmatically determine which version of Trados the plugin is running in. Currently I am doing so by looking for the string Trados 2014/ Trados 2015 / Trados 2017 in the project path but that seems suboptimal in case that the user changes the path.
Any ideas?

I would look at AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory.
Check out the code in the following app, which first finds the running executable:
github.com/.../VersioningService.cs
Once you know the running executable location, you can just use the corresponding folder to determine the version:
{"Studio2", "Studio 2011"},
{"Studio3", "Studio 2014"},
{"Studio4", "Studio 2015"},
{"Studio5", "Studio 2017"}
You can add the Trados Studio Community Toolkit Core library to your project. More details about the library here.
The code will be something like this.
