Technical Community Advisory Group

Hi all,

As you already know, there has been an enormous amount of back-and-forth around communities for a while but we are finally in a position to progress the work you can already see by having participated in this Developer forum for a while.  The first phase of this progression (phase one being defined as the technical communities supporting Language TechnologiesTridion and Structured Content Technologies) is just getting underway and we'd like to have a little representation from you guys too.

Today there are a number of internal/external technical communities and associated forums and web sites that serve as gathering places for these communities, all touching an associated technology or SDL product.  This can be a relatively fragmented experience for users, as no single site holds definitive answers from other users and experts, covers overlapping technologies, includes appropriate professional business discussions, as well as being a satisfying place to spend your precious time.  In appreciation of this reality, SDL is undertaking an effort to both consolidate and enhance the community experience.

Recognizing that no one knows better than members of these communities what works and what doesn't within their communities, SDL is establishing a Technical Community Advisory Group.  This group's total membership will include SDL team members as well as members from several of the existing technical communities.

So the purpose of this post is to establish who, from this community would be interested, and motivated, to be part of this initiative?  We’re probably looking for around ten people for this group in total, so this means we only have room for one or two from this community. Please let me know if you have any further questions.  Ideally you’ll let me know if you're interested by 8th November at the latest.  You can drop me an email if you like - pfilkin@sdl.com

Regards

Paul
