Access settings of sdltpl template

Question

Dear community members, 
 
 I want to pass my customised file type settings (customised via the Studio and saved into the default template SDL Trados.sdltpl) to a file type manager. 
 
 I know how to retrieve these settings from a filebaseproject, using the GetSettings method but I could not find a similar method to retrieve settings from a template. Does anyone know how to do this?

Unfortunately the API doesn't support that, you can only create a project based on a template.
