Multiterm: managing locked entries programatically

Question

Hi all, 
 does anyone know about a possibility to programatically query locked entries in Multiterm, and to break the locks? Like we can do manually in the MT Administrator. 
 The base problem is that sometimes a programatic update of an MT Entry fails, and the lock does not get removed (it also usually fails afterwards). After this an automatic recover is not possible, because the entry lock can be removed only manually.

I don't think this is possible through the API. But essentially it checks the 'mtLocks' table, which will contain the entry number locked. If you remove a line, the lock is removed. 
 
Obviously you have to be careful not to break the lock of a real active session lock.
