Hi,
is it possible to generate the edited source file and save it to the disk from 3rd party applications using the API of Studio?
I have found only this: http://producthelp.sdl.com/SDK/StudioIntegrationApi/4.0/html/4f26373b-ef09-26bf-c727-49100ea7476d.htm , but I can use such classes only from plugins, not from separate applications.

As far as I know this is not possible from outside Studio, although I would be curious as to why you would need this.
Hi, we are automating project creation / various file operations / project finalization from a background service, and in rare cases, the source translation is also modified, so we need to generate and export the source translation too.
I see. What is the file type?
The only other thing I can think of is to extract the <internal-file> which contains the original source before its modified and then trying to update that.
However, you would need to know which source segments are modified and read it from the sdlxliff file.
It is XML. Right, I also came to the same solution.
