I'm not sure what you mean by "use" but ConfigureConverter and the other overrides in your task you never call yourself in code. It is called for you when the task is ran.

Basically you would implement how you want to update the segments in your class that inherits from AbstractBilingualContentHandler and put all your processing code in there.  Let me know if anything is unclear.

The batch task and terminology APIs were introduced in Trados 2015 SR2. So you will need to have Trados 2015 SR2 installed on the machine.

In Visual Studio, just add a reference to Sdl.ProjectAutomation.AutomaticTasks.dll to start using it (you will need to add other dll references as necessary).

When you say "run it", you mean under the debugger in Studio? If that is the case, attach the debugger to a Trados process.

Jesse's advice is absolutely correct until we release the SDK which should happen in the next days. This new SDK will come with project templates for Batch Task and Terminology Provider API.
