How to lock cross-file repetition with Trados studio plugin "IntegratedSegmentActions.sdlplugin"?

I know lock cross-file repetition topics have been raised several times, but I couldn't find answer I want in previous answers.

In Trados studio plugin "IntegratedSegmentActions.sdlplugin", it can lock repetitions, but it seems it can only lock in-file repetition, not cross-file repetition.

My questions are:

Can "IntegratedSegmentActions.sdlplugin" lock cross-file repetitions?

If not, is it possible to lock cross-file repetitions by coding with Trados studio SDK?

And is it possible to get source code of "IntegratedSegmentActions.sdlplugin" ? If yes, where?

Hi Ai-Fang,

I took a look at IntegratedSegmentActions.sdlplugin, it doesn't support cross-file repetition locking from what I see.
You can create something to do this with the SDK though.

However, this information is not stored anywhere. You would need to collect all the cross-file repetitions yourself I think.
One way to do this is to first use "Export Frequent Segments", then perform your locking based on that file.

Hi Jesse,
I was looking into this way but I have a doubt. If we Export the file ""Export Frequent Segments" with Studio, it takes in consideration the placeable concept. How can we do the same when we try to compare two segments? ex 1 for the source file and 1 for the "Export Frequent Segments" file?

Hi Luca,

You would have to create your own custom logic for this.
For example, the IntegratedSegmentActions.sdlplugin uses Regular expressions to replace numbers and tags when you select ignore number differences or ignore tag differences.
