Hi, I just joined and started to look into possibilities for automation, can someone point me to a clear direction? say I need to add a new batch action in my Studio 2011, should I start a Plug-in project in Visual Studio (which version?), compile the final output as a plug-in and place in the Plug-in folder? of course, might need to fix the manifest XML, etc. Thanks!!

have you had any success in creating your custom batch task? I'd be very interested in how you went about it. No details just the general approach. The SDK documentation is very through, but a bit overwhelming for "newbie" programmers

I haven’t tried the plug-in approach, but I did create a drag n drop tool that allows me to create a new Studio project, analyze in multiple server TM, pre-translate the files and generate a log in Excel by a click of button without opening Studio, this for us was a higher priority over the plug-in, given the number of analysis we need to do every day.
The SDK is quite informative, but it lacks in details, a lot of things I needed to do was all based on trial and errors, and it takes enormous effort to move from one step to another, I believe a plug-in for new batch actions can be done, just need to take time to discover it.
