Visual Studio 2010

Hi everyone

Is Visual Studio 2010 supported by the SDL SDK? Because, after creating a new "SDL Translation Provider Plugin-in" and building it, no .sdlplugin file is created. The DLL is present as well as a .pdb and .cache file, a "TempPE" folder and a text file called "TestTranslationProvider.csproj.FileList.Aboslute.txt".

After creating such a provider plug-in an not making any changes to it, the .sdlplugin file should be created on build, right?

  • Hi,

If you are using the Studio 2011 SDK, which is SDK version 2.1 all the project templates are VS 2010 and should build without issue on VS2010 as long as SDL Studio 2011 is also present on the build machine.  Once built, the plugins should be deployed into the Studio 2011 directory structure in the correct place to be launched with studio.  You can usually notice this as upon Studios launch you will see an unsigned plugin warning for this plugin.

Ping me on sdk-feedback@sdl.com also if you like.

    Regards, Ian
