Is there a way to delete a released publication?

Question

Hi, 
 I have a folder inside the repository which contains the topics, map and publication. All are in the final and released status. But when I try to delete the publication. It triggers an error that the publication is released. 
 Is there any mechanism that forcefully deletes the folder inside the CM.

Hi, 
 I believe it is possible, but rests on a bottoms-up approach: to delete a module, it must not be referenced by a map or be a conref target. And so on.

Actually the other way around, so first publication as they are the tip of the pyramid, then maps (as they reference topics), etc. But your question makes me wonder if the base concepts were properly explained to you, perhaps it is worthwhile to check the training material again that is provided to you when you became a customer.
