I want to be able to define the content of pickups and footnotes from within compose.
Just let us define in the (CSS) style setup when an element starts and ends a pickup or footnote.
Reasons for doing this:
- simplicity: This would take away the need to transform the incoming instance to split it into streams. And it would also take away the potential problems of reassembling the instance when you fromxsf it.
- flexibility: would allow things like defining the type of pickup based on certain composition variables
