We understand this request and we have accepted this for inclusion on the XPP Product Backlog. We will be tracking this under our theme of Direct to PDF enhancements. We've discussed with the XPP team the request to provide a more effective way to troubleshoot and debug Direct to PDF output errors that are not already reported via the -dump option. We've reviewed the proposal presented in this IDEA and have confirmed that we do not want to pursue that specifically, but rather approach it in multiple ways, for instance, possibly providing additional information about the context associated with the error, provide info like page, block, line number in the vicinity of the error. In addition, we may be able to produce a troubleshooting guideline that will help when these errors occur.
