Getting special characters in a single click like in WinWord (more symbols) instead of getting it using multiple combination of keys

Currently, we are referring the file “Symbols_KeyBoard Characters.pdf” and using the combination of multiple keys to get the particular symbols as below.  If we have a menu/tool bar similar to Picture 4.2 in XPP while opening specifications such as Item Format, XyMacro, Page Lay-out and Line Editor, would be helpful to pick the symbol instantly.
