Make sure EN elements in texts in other languages do not change when translated into EN

If English elements are present in a foreign-language text (e.g. German), it would be great if those remained unchanged in a translation into English. 

At the moment, they are sometimes changed to similar-sounding English words ("consent" to "consensus", "unwind" to "wind").
