AI-based research and translation recommendations

Hi all,

So I had the idea that it would be great for translators/reviewers to have the possibility to use an LLM from within the system to do research on a specific string (or whole segment) as part of AI Essentials. The whole file should be used as context and the LLM should generate, for example, a definition/explanation and a couple of translation options in the target language, which are shown in the lookups panel then. I think a lot of linguists would really appreciate such a feature.

  • I built an n8n workflow to show how this could look like. A string in the editor is highlighted and then sent to an LLM (currently via a bookmarklet) which responds with suggested translations and a short explanation. See below.
