Idea Delivered

The task close comments are visible today in:
- Inbox -> task details
- Project details -> Files -> File versions
- Project details -> Task history (here the comment can also be copied)
- E-Mail of the next user assigned

Make additional comments that come with a delivery more visible

If translators add comments to their delivery, they are only visible on the details popup on the files tab. This is not useful. It would be good to see those comments in the notification mails for the next task and have them more visible for the project managers on our side. I also couldn't find a possibility to copy the text of that comment from the files tab.

  • Hi Luis,

Is there an update to the timeline for when this will be added to the email to the next user?

    Thanks,

    Russell

  • Hi Luis,

ok, I finally found the comment in the task history. But to be honest, this is not user friendly at all. How should a user know that you have to click on the file name to see the comment if there isn't even a check box to choose the file name. The details window only opens if you click on the file/task name.

Furthermore: Not knowing if the translator left comments would mean, that the project managers on our side would have to manually check every translation task after delivery for comments. This is not realistic at all and doesn't help to automize processes but will slow down processes. Can you explain, what is the idea behind the comment function and why they are only shown there? The people who receive the translations after translation task should be informed that there is a comment, either in the notification mail of that task or even better in a separate mail that someone left a comment.

I think a lot of users would be very thankful to have this issue on comments optimised in some way soon.

    Best regards

    Iris

They are currently not in the e-mail to the next user, we will add this soon.

    Thanks,

  • I agree, comments should be shown in the notifications for the next task and also be visible for the project managers!
