Preview for IDML files in Online Editor

Please make it so that the translators can see a preview of the PDF while they work on the IDML - this is extremely important for our DTP team (desktop publishing), as it enables the translators to ensure their translation isn't too long or too short and still fits into the design of the final version. It will save us a lot of time during PDF checks.

    Hi Carla,

    because we actually deploy Adobe InDesign servers to render the preview in the Online Editor, so we have licensing costs we have to pay to Adobe to offer this as part of the product.
    In turn, it removes the need for companies to purchase InDesign themselves to visualize files during the localization process.

    Ok, I see but what about companies who do have an Adobe InDesign licensing like us? If we want the RWS preview app, we are paying twice, Adobe and RWS.

    Thanks Carla. Not sure what we can do, we still have costs to Adobe independent of your licensing situation with them directly. I guess it's a internal decision on how you want to manage this. In many customers linguists and externals don't have InDesign licenses, so this is a way to give context during localisation for those users.
