Video preview - add support for URLs

Is it possible to add support for Video URLs to be displayed in the video preview? For larger video projects, it can take a significant amount of time to upload many video files. Being able to paste a publicly accessible video URL would help save time.

    Thanks for taking the time to submit this idea. Could you elaborate on your thinking where this URL should be passed from/stored? Or are you thinking just adhoc as you are working in the Online Editor as a user vs. it travelling with project metadata?

    I was wondering if there was a way to maybe add it as a piece of metadata associated with the file? We often have requests that could have 30+ videos to translate. Manually uploading mp4s can take awhile and uses a lot of storage space. Was thinking if there was a way to leverage the video already being accessible online as a way to save upload time.

    Thanks for the additional info. It's a bit challenging as we'd have to stream the file and depending on the sources it differs on how, there are libraries for platforms such as Youtube, Vimeo, but they may not support other platforms. What platforms are these files typically hosted on your side?
