Option to opt out of auto-complete for translation projects

Currently our projects are set to "Completed" automatically after 365 days, that's the maximum interval we're allowed to use. Because we have translation workflows that can much longer than a year, we're constantly having to set projects back to "In Progress".

Idea: Add a checkmark in the Project Settings that allows us to opt out of Auto-Complete and Auto-Archive.

Screenshot of Trados Team Ideas project settings showing 'Auto-complete duration (days)' set to 365 and 'Auto-archive duration (days)' also set to 365 under the 'Complete' and 'Archive' sections respectively.

  • Hi Marco,

Could you elaborate on these projects that are longer than a year? Are these software projects? And how many do you have running at any one time?

    Thanks,

    Luis

  • Currently we have 25 projects that are already over a year old, and we have more projects that will be older than a year later this quarter. They vary in most relevant aspects, i.e. they are different file types, languages, word count, etc. For all of them, they all have due dates that accurately reflect when we expect to complete the project so if the auto-complete project function reflected the project due date instead of the project creation date, it would be a lot better for us.
